Zapier
Send the event, customer name, email and details to a Zap you build.
Zapier connects the agent to anything Zapier can reach: a Google Sheet, a CRM, a task manager, an email. The agent posts the event, the visitor's name and email and a description to a Zap you build; the Zap does the rest.
What the agent can do
| Action | What it does | Inputs collected |
|---|---|---|
| Send to Zapier | Posts JSON with event, customer_name, customer_email and details to your Catch Hook. | A short event label, name, email, details |
Connect Zapier
Create a Zap with a Catch Hook trigger
In Zapier create a Zap whose trigger is Webhooks by Zapier → Catch Hook, click Continue, and copy the webhook URL it shows (
https://hooks.zapier.com/hooks/catch/…). Webhooks by Zapier is a paid Zapier feature.Add the action in PepoChat and send a test
Open App Integrations → Zapier, paste the URL, tick Send to Zapier, click Add actions, then click Test on the action and fill in sample values. Back in Zapier click Test trigger to pull in the sample, map the four fields into whatever the Zap does next, and publish it.
Describe when it should fire
Edit the action's when to use text so the agent knows exactly which requests should trigger this Zap, for example "when a visitor wants a quote". Enable the action.
Example
Visitor: Can I get a quote for 50 premium bouquets by Friday?
Agent: Of course. What's your name and email so our team can send it?
Visitor: Rose O'Neil, rose@example.com
Agent: Thanks Rose, I've passed your request to the team. You'll hear from them by email.
Good to know
- Zapier accepts any well-formed Catch Hook URL, so a successful Test does not prove the URL is right; check the Zap's run history.
- For a second automation, add another action under Custom Actions → New action with its own Catch Hook URL and its own "when to use" text.
- The webhook URL is the credential and is visible on the action card; regenerate it in Zapier if it leaks.
